Our 3 Promises

1) Secrecy

Rest assured, our founder is an inventor himself, and an invention community leader. He has the utmost respect for all intellectual property owners. That's why we live by the following policies:

2) Integrity

We deliver an objective, confidential diagnostic service you can trust. It's all we do. And we do it honestly, by following the highest ethical standards:

  • We offer no "invention development" services of any kind. So you can trust that we have no reason to give you anything other than an honest diagnostic. Unethical product evaluation services have an incentive to lie: they give biased evaluations that are either wildly "positive" in order to convince you to pay for their licensing services or additional development. Or, the evaluation is overly "negative" in order to get you to purchase additional service. Either way, you spend far more than you planned, with astronomically low chances of ultimate success. Product evaluations don't work. Even if the evaluation is "free", beware! In a mousetrap, the cheese is always free. The Federal Trade Commission urges all inventors to beware of sweet-sounding promises to turn your "idea into cash". The US Patent & Trademark Office also issues guidelines for scam prevention.

  • When we identify a building-block you need to work on to improve a pillar's score, we will always include two options: 1) fix it yourself, or 2) hire a professional. If we do refer you to a specialist, we never accept any referral fees from them. And we only suggest firms Certified by the United Inventors Association (UIA), the national non-profit dedicated to inventor education and support. Patrick Raymond, our founder, was the original architect of UIA-Certification in 2009, which has now become the industry standard to identify invention service providers who comply with rigorous professional and ethical standards.

  • We only have one client: you, the inventor! We will never go on the "other side" of a transaction to represent the interests of a company and/or investors. We can refer high-scoring clients to them, and assist in preparations to present. But we will never accept money or referral fees from them. That would mean we somehow represent both sides. We can't. When there are two negotiating parties, each side invariably tries to extract concessions from the other. That's normal. But we want to avoid being in the awkward position of trying to serve two masters. We only have one: you, the inventor.

3) Hard Work

We do not believe inventing is a "get rich quick" scheme, nor do we subscribe to the "lucky winner" mentality. That's not how serious companies and investors work. And they are not seeking desperate and unprepared "idea people". They are seeking inventions for commercialization. What's the difference between an idea and an invention? Hard work. The more you've done, then the more you "own"to bring to the table to "cash in". This will be reflected in a high InventionScore™. It indicates that you are in a strong negotiating position. If you have not done much work yet, that's ok. We will put you in the right direction to earn maximum points and ultimate bargaining power. We work hard to deliver a high-quality service to you. Because our mission is to get your hard work properly recognized.
